I've been looking over reports on a few other socal fishing forums and have noticed a frequent catch of midshipman fish. According to some research sites the midshipman fish eats during the night; however they've been biting during the day. Any reason why?

They should be in Spawn mode right now, very active and aggressive..

I have seen them caught in daytime often...???
