My buddy and I went out yesterday for a ¾ day on the Victory out of Pierpoint Landing since none of the overnighters had enough people to make it out.
Anyways, long story short, we caught our limits of Lingasaraus for the two of us. On top of that, I managed to hook up to a nice Cabbie as well as a BIG Treefish. That Treefish weighed in at 3 lbs 10oz. California state record is 4 lbs 2oz I believe if I remembered right. If I can only drop in an 8oz torpedo and tie the record….=) Also caught my limits of Salmon Grouper (Boccacio) and rattlesnakes.
I almost took JP until a guy decided he’ll pull up a Ling bigger than mine. Btw, my biggest ling weighed in at 13#.
All in all, it was a nice day out on the water. Weather was perfect, sun was out, fish were biting….at least for the 2 of us.
