Sunset Beach - 3 perch and a bat

Went to sunset after work Yesterday. Conditions looked nice, rising tide, small waves. Started tossin squid strips with 1/2 oz , but the wind picked up and was blowin me around too much. Switched up to 3/4 oz and that was just right. Caught three palm-sized perchies, one on squid, one on gcsw, and one on gulp swimming mullet. Started losing light so I set up my bait-n-wait with squid while I tried to look for sandcrabs. No crabbies but I got a drenching from a sneaker wave. Managed a small bat ray before I left. Really nice day!

By the way.....what's up with this? Just doesn't seem right to close off 75 yards of fishable beach.
