Leandro (pillirock), Jerry (halfprice), Mikey (fknricter) and I went to Marina Del Rey for some rock fishing. They got to my house @ 5:30 and we headed for the ramp.
Using strips of squid in 270 feet of water we drifted in the same area I fished yesterday and last Friday. Metered some fish and dropped the lines. Mikey and Jerry decided to try their Lucanis jibs. I dropped a butterfly jig and Leandroe dropped strips of squid. As soon as his weight hit the bottom Leandro hooked up. He slowly started cracking it up and was unsure if it was a nice fish or just a flimsy rod tip. As it turns out, it was a nice Vermilion and his limit of Boccaccio.

Then Mikey brings up this monster on the Lucanis :)

Then it was Jerry's turn, he managed to finally hook a fish using the $15 jig

Just to show off, Leandro decided to hook two fish on one hook. One through the mouth and the other by the tail

I also hooked a nice red, but it was not special enough to warrant a picture
Water was about 56 degree and the water conditions were great.
Here is the picture of the catch of the day.

I'm going back out there on Saturday to try my luck again
Maybe the guys can share some of the pictures they took.
It was great being on the water with good fishing buddies!
