Late Report - MDR 4-11-08

Sorry for the late report. I hit up Marina Del Rey on Friday last week. I fished the reefs for some bass. The weather was great, water was calm, and fishing was good. I caught 5 bass and a Cabazon or sculpin (wasn’t sure). I got bait from the In-Seine bait instead of the other bait place I usually go to. The In-Seine guy was great. He loaded me up for $5 (the other guy charges $10) with good sized sardines. He was very friendly so I gave him $10 anyway. I got out on the water around 10AM (I don’t start as soon as most of you guys do) and was off the water by 2:30. Tried to beat the traffic on the 405 back to the Valley but I don’t think that’s ever possible. It was a great time like always. The reefs haven’t disappointed me yet. I would like to catch a halibut from the kayak, haven’t been successful yet. I’m probably hitting King Harbor with my brothers-in-law on Sunday. Any halibut tips or spots in or out of the Harbor would be greatly appreciated. I’ve attached some pics. Unfortunately, I must have messed up the settings on the camera because they appear to be in sepia tone instead of regular color. Anyway, good luck to those going out this weekend!
