Decided to do some surf fishing before my 3 days of rock fishing, so I headed to the the surf.
Got to the beach around 9:30 and tossed a green/brown Gulp 2" worm on lbs test with a sliding egg sinker.
Within five minutes I nailed my first fish. I believe it was a croaker

Then I started hooking barred perch that were about 11" in length and full of babies. (All fish were released to fight another day)

Around noon I decided to head to the King Harbor Breakwall. When I got there, I notice the the marine educational center was open so I cruised in and snapped some pictures of the petting aquarium and some of the healthy fish that they have on display.

Then I headed to the wall but it was pretty rough and not fishable so I called it a day.
Fun fun  looking forward to hooking some nice reds tomorrow.
