Grunion Run?

i just wanted to know if there is a beach closer to Huntington where the grunion run. I would like to take my 3 year old daughter. Also when is the next grunion run, any info would be great and feel free to pm me if your affraid of lurkers. Thanks

I go there all the time for the grunion runs. check the DFG website for a calendar and just go around the middle dates. It is really cool watching the birds wait for the grunion to come. Good fishing too, but a lot of skates/rays in the mix.

I've taken the family out to Laguna Beach last couple of years, parking is not so bad that time of night. Not sure if that's close for you though.

I would check the regs. before going grunion hunting- I'm pretty sure that April and May are off limits for taking these slender fish.

im not looking to catch any, i just want my daughter to see them and just have a little fun. Something out of the ordinary for the family to do.
