Grunion run this Friday @ Cabrillo. Do larger fish come by to feed on the grunions? Is it worth taking the fishing gear.

:rofl:I just bought a 21ft. Larson ski/fish boat with a 5.7 liter (250 hp)mercruiser engine. It has 2 livewells, fishfinder and trolling motor on it. Gas tank is 32 gals., is that enough to get to catalina? Went there many years ago when i was young and stupid in a "Sweet 16 with a 35hp evenrude on a 4th of July weekend, had fun".....But comming back was a bad thing.

Top your tank
Set your trip meter on zero on the GPS.
Buzz around inshore at cruise speed for a 1/2 tank or so. Or like 30 miles

Top off your tank again.
See how many gals it takes
How many miles did you run.

Miles driven divided by gals used will give you your mpg.
You can get to Cat no problem.
Dont want to run out getting back. Drifting into the supertanker lanes
