Went out today with my Pops, Friend Carlos and two newbies to fishing. They couldn't have chosen a better day to try their luck at fishing.
Met everyone at Marina Del Rey ramp around 6:30 and picked up some sardines from the bait dude on the right side of the channel. Took a 9 mile ride to the fishing spot and dropped the lines for out first drift by 8. eight oz weight and dropped looped to the bottom
Picked up a few chilly peppers and a nice Vermilion and moved back for another drift. It seems that with every drift the fish just kept getting bigger and bigger.
I forgot my camera today, but one of the newbies took two pictures with his cell phone.
Look at these healthy rockfish :)

The catch of the day was by my friend Carlos with this 25" Boccaccio that weighed in a 5.5 lbs.

31 chilly peppers various sizes

Taking my wife and boys out tomorrow out of Davies for a day of fishing for some more tasty treats.
