Newport Pier

Fished the pier from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Hooked up on about 15 Mackerel. Figured catfish season is coming up soon and could use some Fresh Mack. I didn't see anything else being caught. Water was pretty clear and the weather was perfect. Can you catch Spotted bass or halibut from the pier?

i stocked up on the cat bait at balboa last week....lol
YES there are halibut!!! i think you might get a spottie off the pier but NPH would be a better bet, the sandies are at the southland piers when the water REALY warms up (high 60's)
