The Cudas are back and they're hungry for LC's. Weather was nice around the low 60s till noon with no winds and slight cloud cover. Water was the usual light Anderson's split pea green murkiness with 3 foot clarity. Bass and 20in. hali caught on fire-tiger grubs w/ 10# flouro.

3 Bass
2 Cudas
1 Hali

That is the bridge leading to Balboa Island.

That's the Channel Reef Condos in the middle of the last shot with the soda and chips near the harbor mouth.

The water on the bottom can be very clear while the water near the surface may appear very turbid.
It pays to not be discouraged by the look of the water on top.

I tried a variety of lures, red crawdads, white jigs on various colored leadheads, swimbaits, etc. It appeared that the bass weren't biting but I bet the cuda bites could have gone on all afternoon. I stopped to preserve my LC.

the first Cuda was 20 in. the second was 19.

You're welcome. I bought it from that Hershey's market on the main strip but can't remember the name of the sandwich. It was alright. Footlong sandwich, chips, and hanks soda ran about $11.50, pricey but expected for the island.
