Has anyone been to Lake Shasta or Millerton Lake recently? Is the water level way down still like it is in the photos below?

I'm making plans for my summer trips.

How low will it go?: Lake Shasta water could reach lowest level in 15 years

LAKE SHASTA -- Robert Eade has seen his favorite swimming hole shrink daily as Lake Shasta drains to possibly its lowest water level in 15 years come the end of summer.


"Every day it's lower and lower," said the 13-year-old as he bobbed Monday in the murky water of the lake's Salt Creek finger near his home.
As the water has dropped, restrictions have gone up on what boaters can do and how fast they can travel, and questions have been raised about where the lake's water is going.

People Enjoyed Millerton Lake Despite Low Water Levels

Low water levels are exposing parts of the lake bed that haven't been seen by humans in several years. The reason is low winter snow fall over the snow pack that feeds the San Joaquin River. The pic on the right...behind the middle green hill is a stand of trees on the far bank.

I caught a 20" bass in near the road when the water was high.

Yes, its still that low!!!!

Thanks Ruger - that area is proabably the best location on the lake to catch bass.
