opening day so close

opening day is a little over a month away. hope i get to go.
whos going and where?

ill be at convict if i get to go.

heres some pics from the past two opening days. the black and white one was 06 and the other was 07. and the last one was taken a couple months ago.

Not likely to be there for the Opener, but the first full week of May is about a lock. A couple days at Convict, then maybe the June Loop for 3-4 days.

From your pictures you can tell how much more snow fell in 2006 than 2007. I fish the inlet of convict and will make the hike back there about 2:00am. Looks like we will be walking on the right side or boat dock side this year. I watched some guys almost slide in Convict on the opener 2006. Walking the steep snow bank on the shorter side can put a real damper on the day. Bet I beat you all to the inlet! Remember, the Convict is surrounded by lanterns by 4:00am. Got to get there early. good fishin!

TO I will be leaving either late Thurs. or early Fri. and will set the RV up at beavers Cove beach. You are welcome to beach your boat in front of us so we can keep an eye on it overnight. I can even charge your batteries if needed. I will be staying until Monday afternoon, let me know when you will be up there guiding. If it thaws late, it will be a flatline bite trolling. If it thaws early, definately a lead core bite of up to 3-5 colors. Or you can always bait down and guarantee a limit of fatties. You are welcome to anything we have at our campsite as always. See you there BOB..... By the way TO, it ain't that bad of a madness. Just get there by Fri. and launch the boat and beach it. No waiting in line to get in or launch, just wake and fish.....

I hear people will be ice fishing on sabrina and south lake this opener. The lakes are frozen.

I'll be up there from the 8th-11th. Buddy has a cabin between the lakes. Look for a guy tubing a fishcat 4 morning and evenings.

Check my avatar out man, that's convict! Love that lake, get a boat and hit the back of the lake and you're golden. I landed some nice sized trout there last year and I know this year 16lb+ should be caught. :cart:

I'll be tent camping in Rock Creek, Plan on leaving the 23rd and will be camped/fishing for 7-10 days. Upper Owens and any other place I end up at.. This is my 38th straight opener.

I will be at Crowley opening weekend including Monday. I go right back up the following weekend for 5 days to fish my guts out some more. Say Hi if you see me in my boat "Sushi Grade"
