Red Drum

I took out four fifth grade Boy Scouts (Oliver, Nick, Miguel & Chris) out on a Birthday fishing trip aboard the “Big Drum”. My good friend Jason “jscrib” was kind enough to offer his stellar deck handing services for the trip. I had already taken B-Day boy Oliver and Nick out on the “Big Drum” a couple years ago, so they were very excited to get back on the water and go bendo.
Here is Miguel with his first fish of the day. A nice Halfmoon. Here is what Miguel said when he got his fish in the boat, “Fishing is the best thing in the whole World”. That was so cool to hear him say that, and I have to agree with him to an extent.

The boys were really bummed-out when we had to pull the plug on the fishing trip. Jason and I had a blast watching the boys pulling in fish and pounding down loads of candy, at least they also ate their Subway sandwiches and chips.
After I dropped the boys back off at the ramp, Paul “FISHNFU” jumped on board and we went out fished the evening bite and did a little hooping.
Here is Paul with some Sand Bass.

A nice Pt. Dume sunset.

This was the first time that I had fished with Paul and we had a fun time fishing together even though fishing and bugging wasn’t wide-open. Oh well that’s fishing.
I can’t wait to make it back out on the water.
Till next tide,
