Went to Long Beach with a friend.
Sun was just coming up.
Water was dirty and dark with tons of plastics floating around.
Also it was a little cloudy with chilley wind.
All the perfection condition for a mutant monster halibut.
After a few casts something slammed the bait hard and fought over 5mins with lots of drag pulling, head turning, even trying to jump out of the water.
Thankfully it was landed and measured about 30 inches long.
Not much of a monster but it looked like it when it was seen swimming around in the dark water.
Looks like this year is going to be a great fishing year again. :D
