Sloooooooow day at Magu 2-26-08

Hit up the surf again today..

Arrived in Malibu around 6:30 (can never seem to get there before the sun!)
Headed north to my favorite productive spot near Magu.

Upon arrival I got to play with a "local resident" for a short while before he swam back out to sea nice and healthy like.

The surf was still pretty choppy and tall. Not as much salad as I expected. Salad wasn't even a problem today, but the water was thick with sand.

Threw various LC's and worked the Kroc for about an hour each with no love. Switched to GCSW and bagged two tiny guys. Straight back to LC's and Krocs for the rest of the day.

Then I broke the levelwind on my cardiff. =( That's another baitcaster I broke..

Broke out my Luna 253 and spooled it with 12lb and kept on plugging.

My guess is I threw lures for about 7 hours having arrived at 6:30, fishing by 7 and done by 2. No love out there for me today, but still no skunk. you can't even feel those little perch on the line anyways, I want big fish! :lol:

Here's some pics. That's all I could stir up. Nothing would touch any form of lure today. Not much luck lately I guess.

Now that's dedication & patience T.J. I've had a few days where my arms are tired of slinging lures, but it does pay off when you least expect it. That legal Hali is just right around the corner for you... keep it up!

Man, I didn't even see that thing at first. I guess he was hiding in the rocks taking a nap.
I was fishing and heard a noise so I turned around and he was just THERE. :shock: :lol:

Looks like I picked up a bit of a sun burn as well. Temps were up near 75* and the wind was minimal, too nice not to throw a lure all day.

Picked up loads of sand in my boots. Need to do something 'bout that..
