im going to bishop this weekend with my family, and wondering, would it be okay to inflate my float tube at the hotel in town, and then drive to PVR? or will it pop? allso what area has better spots to enter from? by the power plant, or the dam?

never tubed pvr but you should be fine carrying it from your hotel.
it is easier to get to the res. from the dam but i have deffinanty had better fishing coming in from the power plant. good luck.
PVR is just outside of Bishop and nearly the same altitude so you can fill up your float tube in town and drive it up to PVR. There is faster access to PVR from the dam end but better fishing from the power plant end. If you have a bike, this would be the quickest way of getting you and your tube to the water from the power pland end.
I plan to fish PVR on Saturday. I'll be the one on rollerblades with my tube on my back.
