We decided to hit up the afternoon 1/2 day boat out of Newport Landing, aboard the Patriot. With only 10 passengers, there was plenty of room. Headed south to try out the bass fishing. We had live squid for bait today. Started out slow, but the bite picked up later in the afternoon. All in all, a great day on the water. My total, 1 checker, 9 sandies. My buddy Cass, 6 sandies. I also hooked into a couple of nice sheephead, they will have to wait a couple more weeks.

Awesome fishing, dude. Good job on the bass, Im sure they were delicious.
wtg on the sandies 8) too bad u had to let the sheepies go back...everyone seems to run into alot of them when its not in season :lol:
