Palos Verde area

My boss wants me to take him surf fishing. He lives in the Palos Verde area. He wants to flyfish. I've been getting pounded by waves at Zuma, I'm thinking the PV area might be a bit calmer.

Anyone having any luck in that neck of the woods lately? Anywhere else where the surf is smaller?
