launched early at 4:30 trying to have a repeat of Saturday. I headed out to the closure buoy and started a drift. I used a white jig tipped with two fresh dead squid about 6 feet off the bottom, and while that was doing it's job i was yo yoing a blue and white jig. after about 5 min my jig & squid combo gets slammed. So I put on my overalls and farmed it like a pro. :x
I paddled back to the spot and tied on another jig & squid combo to try my luck again. it was like clock work. A five min wait and wam another taker. this time I rembered how to fight a fish and landed it. a very nice 6 or 7 foot soup fin shark. (C&R)
so after a nice battle i retied the jig back on and tryed it again. 5 min wait and wam another taker. after a hard fight another soup fin shark showed his face so I quickly released this one as to not harm it. after that i decided to go looking for yellow. after about an hour or two of not even a tap I decided to call it a day.
all in all a very good day and my first soup fin shark goes on the board.
