HB Dog Beach & San Gab. River w/photo

its been awhile since I posted a report but I have not been fishing since last fall sometime. Today I took my dog to the beach and tried some surf fishing. I was using Berkley camo sand worms. The beach was pretty crowded and didn't get any hook ups but surf fishing is pretty new to me. Im trying to get the hang of it. After that went to eat then I picked up some frozen squid. Then went to that bridge over the San Gabriel river. On The first cast I caught a small yellow fin croaker. Later on I caught my personal best yellow fin croaker sorry for the crappy camera phone photo it also looked bigger than in the photo the other fisherman there said it was pretty big

does anyone have any tips for fishing the HB dog ill be going there from time to time with my dog and would like some help getting me some hook ups
