Quick report: Hit up CDM for a few hours on Sat. Conditions were flat, past the high tide and going out. Tossed grubs and my rip'n minnow. No bites but was able to get a better feel for how that lure acts int he water. I'm still not sure how best to use it.

Then on Sun I hit up Sunset beach. Tried tossing the lure again for nada. Switched over to 2'' BGSW and picked up this little guy. nada after that. I think i need to be highly mobile on this beach.

I think mobility is the key to working any beach. This is especially true if you don't know the lay out of the beach very well. Keep moving until you find a productive spot.

I'm finding that it pays to be persistant. Nice pics.

You should walk down the Huntington side of the jetty next to Bolsa Chica State Beach. :secret:
Good Luck,

Perch = Skunk removal. I love big Corona.
BTW, my folks live on Pine Hill, just across Elk River from Humboldt Hill in Eureka. We have a cabin on Ruth Lake.

That's sweet! I loved it up there when I was at college. Been up to Ruth lake but never fished it. Used to fish north jetty, the bay, Eel, trinity and mad rivers up there. Fun times.
