It has been a couple weeks and my son and I thought we would try out the new 08 license... so off to NPH for a few hours 3:30 to about 5:45 and toss some swim baits. I always forget the camera, so again with the cell phone pics (sorry)..
We typically use 8lb Pline... and the go to plastic is a 3" Big Hammer on 3/8 oz head in Bleeding Mack.
My son brought in a HUGE clump of mussel. AH BAIT he thought.. He retied - put on number 6 bait holder with split shot and pulled in the perch and then no more than 5 minutes later follows-up with the almost legal Sandie.
In the end
2 Hali Biggest going about 14" on the swim bait
1 Sandie on Mussle
1 Spotted Bay Bass on the swim bait
1 Perch on Mussle
All released for the Next Guy to play to with..
Good outing for a couple hours (in the winter)
Really it is tought to beat NPH for good pick on various species.

P.S. We are trying to get the "freshwater" thing down... Hopefully, we will have some success to report instead of the Skunk hanging on our backs...
