My father and I went south to Punta Colonet. Started early throwing jigs for yellowtail. Let them sink to the bottom and wind up like crazy was working best. Scramble Eggs, blue and white, and white worked well.
After yellowtail bite slowed down switch to bottom fishing. Gulp, squid, and live sardins, work well for an assortment of reds, lingcods, starries, samon grouper, and white fish and humbolt squid.
Approx. count.
Myself- 3 yellowtail, lost 2 20 to 25 lbs, 2 squid, 3white fish, 4 reds, 5 samon grouper, 3 starries
Father- 3 yellowtail lost 1 20-25 lbs, 3 lingcod, and assortment of reds and samon grouper. Great boat recondmend going with them.

Nice. Didnt know the yellows were bitin already. Damn I might have to get out..... How much line you think is needed to fish the bottom fish??? I got 500 yards on my avet and 475 on my saltiga. Is that good enough?

Nice haul. Eddie Marty's trip, eh? Good bunch to fish with. The Endeavor is a fishy boat too. I may try to go on the February trip if it's not booked and my weekend is open.
