It Happens...my turn.

Woke up before the alarm at 5:00 a.m. excited to try some new areas. My ride picked me up and we headed first to the 72nd. St Jetty in the LBC. The beach was still trashy but not as bad as after the storm. We tossed all variety of lures for about 3.5 hours and from 56th to 72nd St.
Result = no bites + :skunk:

Picked up some ghost shrimp at Norm's and headed to Bolsa Chica Eco. Reserve at Warner + PCH. There was about four other guys fishing also and they had no success all morning.

After a while we stopped at the Santa Ana River Jetty for another :skunk:

So in order to beat the :skunk: we headed to our home port @ Balboa Pier and the ever reliable mac attack.

The pier was also slow, at least 10 people fishing and only 1 guy catching dink bsp with small sand crabs. Got my final :skunk: and since I don't know what the DFG limit is on skunks, I played it safe and called it a day. Despite the lousy action, still a great day to be out fishing!

So thats the place everyone's been talking about. I'm going to have to check it out when I get back from Japan :twisted: I've passed that place so many times, yet I haven't ever thought about fishing there. I thought fishing there was illegal since it is a ecological reserve.
