Im not trying to encroach on anyones spots, but i was just wodering where to fish at catalina.
I was going to start fishing there. any suggestions. thanks in advance.

There some here year round, but they usually show up in good numbers around may or june.

What pound test do you use? 25, 30, 40?

I use 12 to 20lb., but thats for the surface bite with live bait.

If your fishing the bottom with squid or a jig 30 should be just fine.
