here some recipes i have made that i think u will enjoy if you like thaifood. 8)



thai beef jerky

2/3 lb flank steak, cut in small strips

#1
3/4 tbsp soy sauce
3/4 tbsp fish sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper

1/4 cup onion pieces
oil for deep frying

marinate steak with #1 ingriedents for 15 to 30 minutes. heat oil up and then deep
fry steak and onion in medium heat until onion is golden. remove and place on paper
towel so excess oil can drip away. season with salt and pepper.






spicy chicken with chili & basil

1 lb boneless chicken, cut in strips

1 tsp minced garlic
6 shredded thai chilies*

3 tbsp fish sauce*
3 tsp sweet soy sauce*
1 tsp sugar

20 basil leaves
1/3 cup stock or water

(* can get at local asian market)

heat 2 tbsp oil then stir fry #1 til fragrant. add meat and stir fry until color changes. add #2 and stir to mix. add #3 and bring to a boil til chicken is fully cooked. serve over rice.






steamed eggrolls

4 egg roll shells

2 tbsp each: soy sauce, plum sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
3 tbsp sugar
6 tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp cornstarch

1 egg beaten
1 chinese sausage
3 oz. crab meat
4 shelled shrimp

1/2 cup each (shreds): green onion, cucumber, bean sprouts

make dipping sauce by bringing #2 to a boil

heat the grease pan with butter, oil or whatever your preference. fry egg into to form
a pancake then shred it.

cook sausage for 4 minutes then shred it. cook crab meat and shrimp in boiling water
until shrimp changes color; remove and cut shrimp in half.

place egg shreds, sausage, crab meat, and #4 in egg roll shells. roll them up. should
make 4 rolls and place them on a plate. bring water to boil then steam for 20 to 30
seconds. remove. cut each roll in 3 pieces. place shrimp over egg roll. you can serve
with the dipping sauce #2 made ahead of time.






grilled (your choice of fish) panang

(1 fish fillet of choice)

1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp panang curry paste*
4 tbsp coconut milk*

1/2 cup coconut milk*
3/4 tbsp fish sauce*
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp paprika powder

1 tbsp thick coconut milk*
4 kaffir leaves, shredded*

(*can get at local asian markets)

grill or bake your fish of choice until done.

stir fry #1 in medium heat until fragrant. add #2 and bring sauce to a
boil. pour the sauce and then #3 over fillet and serve.






fried bananas

3 bananas (medium ripe), cut in bite sized pieces
8 tbsp flour

1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp thick coconut milk or milk
1 beaten egg

2 cups sweetened coconut, shredded
2 tbsp sesame seeds

oil for deep frying

stir #1 well and then mix with flour to form batter. dip bananas in batter and
then coat completely with #2.

heat oil and then fry the bananas til golden. remove and place them on paper
towel to absord oil. place on plate and ready to eat.
