Dana Point Tubing

Let me first start this off by saying, it was slow as hell yesterday! My buddy Adriel just got a tube and wanted to break it in. So we met up with Lokey and Howstar at about 6:00 in the morning. Our mission today was to target halibut, but no legals were caught. We launch and pick up a half scoop of live bait, unfortunately the bait was way to big! Oh well, what can you do. Howstar had the hot stick, landing about 6 bass and 2 short hali's..........Lokey caught a WSB, and Adriel nailed about 4 bass. Me, well lets not go there! hahaha.....i had 2 BIG hits but no takers! Next week we're gonna take Adriel to Hooker Alley, and give him a taste of some good fishing........he'll never want to go anywhere else after that! :lol:

It was a hard pressed day yesterday with the swells and the crazy wind. Good job none the less. Wish we would've seen you guys out there.

Cool looking floating bait tank. Did you make that? The first photo of it looks like a decent sized 1/2 scoop.

nah somebody else made that, but I think I'm gonna copy the idea :lol:.
They did hook it up with some fat scoops, but the bait was huge :evil:

I was there too on sunday. It was slow but im sure it had to do witht he early moring low tide. I am never buying bait from the bait barge till i see the sardine size go back down or until they start having chovies again. Its just way to big for the harbor. Im glad you guys had a good time. Im with you Sea Murda. My buddies all cauht fish but i only had two big hits.
