Freakin' COLD!!!! CLOUDY BUT NO RAIN! Wind E 10-20kts. Waves 3-5ft faces outside, 1-2ft breaks inside. Water clear and clean. No salad/trash. Landed a 20in butt on the second cast....went dry for 1.5 hours then got a BSP. All fish back in the drink tending their wounds.

Awesome! I tried last night at Huntington Harbor (Seabridge Park) all for nada. Dang, this rain is gonna shut down fishing for the weekend.

Hey in the upper right side of the Halibut photo there is a clear jello looking tube. It looks like a squid egg case to me. Were there lots of those around? Where were you fishing? The commercial squiders have been bringing in a lot lately.

I saw quite a few of those jello thingies being washed up to shore this morning. Word has it that fish candy is starting to show around PV.

PV hunh? Cool, cool. Never tried fishing up there I may have to give it a try. I also heard there were light boats sitting off Pt Dume and Redondo Canyon.
