I got the pleasure of leaving socal for 7 days to spend the New Years with family....Did I mention ice fishing for five days straight? Today was day 3 of five. First two days we got pretty much skunked. One freagin' fish. Today 1/3 we managed to catch three walleye and eight Northern pike. Pike are not a nuisance fish in Montana, they are actually a very sought after game fish and fight like a mo-fo. I can't wait to check my lines in the morning~!!!!!! Seriously, it's so good to be back home fishing for big fish, but it's so darn cold. Yesturday it was 8 degrees at daybreak with a -15 wind chill. serious cold. Hope everyone catches big fish this week. Tight lines and happy new year!!!

Very nice!

Can't remember the last time someone posted a pike (or walleye) on this board they caught themselves...! Good job!

Tyler, you caught my fish!

That is a nice one. I'm gonna try and catch a bigger one before the season is over.

Thanks for the report Tyler. It's good to see someone catching other species of fish.

catching a big northern is about as fun as it gets. And walleye are delicious. Good job man.
