WOW...9-11 ft swells and some good wind. Must be the tail end of the last storm. Hence we never made it to the honey holes we usually fish. :(
First boat on the water because of low tide, larger boats had to wait to be launched. Not being able to leave the "bay" and the low tide around our bay spots didn't allow us to get as close to rocks as we wanted to.
By the time we left the rocks we hit the kelp beds. We waited to long as the tide started coming back in and the wind picked up. Once again we couldn't get to prefered spots due to danger.
I did pick up a hell of a fighting ling cod and with the med. action pole it was one fun catch. Got him in 20ft of water but he was small, so he was free to leave. No other fish caught.
Will be back out tomorrow. :P
