Wow Cory, Those are some real fat slabs!
I wish could make it up there but prior commitments have me sidelined here in Orange.

I have never fished Crowley. Driven past it at 65 MPH at least 100 times. I am always impressed with the quality of the fish. In particular, the holdovers have full tails. They look like a real wild fish. Well developed and proportionate (WOW BIG words :P )

Joshua,

I gurantee that if you fish Crowley even once...you will definitely keep coming back. Although it doesn't look very attractive from Hwy 395, once you get on the lake, it's a whole new beautiful perspective.

In my opinion, pound for pound the trout at Crowley lake fight better than any other lake in California. You can't leave you rod unattended unless you loosen the drag all the way.

These trout will take a rod and reel in water without a problem if you don't secure your gear.

Ask Troutman Dan he'll tell you.
