Skunked at Little Corona Del Mar and Crystal Cove yesterday. Don't know what I did wrong. The surf was calm and I was throwing BGSW and scented grubs. I picked up Rip'n Minnow from Owner; it looks like a less expensive version of the Lucky Craft. I tried tossing that out a few times but I don't know what I am doing with that thing yet. It was a good day out anyway. My girl and I tried to catch a black turnstone that had netting wrapped around it feet. We could get within a few feet of it and it would fly off. GF once got my jacket thrown over it but the jacket was too light to weigh it down and it flew off. Poor bugger. Oh well it just might end up living out a full life missing a leg. Anyway I kept getting wet in the surf (didn't bring waders....oooo that water is cold) and GF built a Christmas sandman complete with kelp scarf. Took our pictures with it and called it a day.
