What size, style and color jig heads do you use in the Bays?

I have been fishing Newport Bay for years and alot of people I know ask what size,color and style jig heads I use.

I was just courious what everyone here uses when they fish the bay?

Here is a list of what I use:

1: 3/8 oz football head in chartruses
2: 3/8 oz football head in glow
3: 3/8 oz round head in chartruses
4: 1/4 oz round head in chartruses
5: 1/4 oz round head in glow
6: 1/4 oz football head in chartruses
7: 5/16 oz darter head in chartruses
8: 5/16 oz darter head in glow

I mainly use 1/4 and 5/16 oz for bass and the 3/8 oz for halis.

3/8 oz shad head in yellow or red

i use the lead color ones...im too cheap to use anything else

I just use plain lead 3/8 oz rounds ,and grubs and do well never mixed colors to much

I've fished a lot of BH 1/4 oz. and 3/8 oz. lead heads in all colors and have had great success.

When in doubt BH Rainbow Trout or BH Spottie Special on a green 3/8 oz. lead head. Usually on 6 or 8lb. test.

Of course, when the spotties are on the chew, they'll eat just about anything you throw at them.
