Love this site, folks! Planning to post reports as soon as I can.

I'm looking for smaller water not too distant from Burbank just to get a line wet between bigger trips. I've done Hansen. I'd like to find another local pond close by. I'm primarily a bass guy, but I'm not monogamous.

Can anyone shed light on the following?

Eaton Wash Reservoir
Hollywood (know it's closed for now, but are there fish?)
Silver Lake (fishable?)
Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Balboa Lake in Van Nuys/Reseda. Tilpia bite is beging to taper off, but you should be able to catch fish there for the rest of the month. If you plan on being around for another year, the bite is wide-open from mid-August through early November.

Thanks, City Dad! I've enjoyed reading your Balboa posts. I'm here for the longhaul, so I'll definitely check out the tilapia bite next year. Despite the avatar, I've lived in SoCal for the last eight years.

Hey welcome, there is a little reservoir up in Tujunga. It's not bad for bass fishing. Check it out.
