Fresh or Salt

Launched out of Cabrillo and ended up getting the same consistent bite along the wall. Wind was down and the bait barge had very few anchovies. :D Ended up with: (4) Sculpin, (5) Sand Bass, (2) Halibut, (1) spotted bay bass, (2) Kelp rock fish, (3) Calicos, (1) short 22'" White Sea Bass, and a ton of Mackeral. All fish were CPR except for a few mackeral (bait) and (1) sculpin. Little FoS had a blast and never once asked to go in/home. 2 hours before sun started to go down, one of us jammed home real quick to pick up some nets for those tasty bugs. 3 hours later and no signs of them crawling, we call in a day; ended up landing (2) Octopus. It was really slow and not one lobster. Don't know if it was the lack of ocean surge or the full moon. Had plenty on fresh mackeral so that wasn't it. Despite no bugs, we had a blast and can't wait to do it all over again.
