MAN RON! What an OUTSTANDING report! I dunno how you manage to cram so much info onto 1 post (and have a life :P )
This was a plethora of info this time. Specially liked the info on closures & seasons. THANK YOU! Proud to have you as a fellow FNN-er.
Nice job on those Jerk-It lings  . I have had those aboard my Striper, and they work on everything! Where do you get yours. My buddy bought his at the O.C. Fair.
Again, thanks for taking the time to write so much info that helps keep us connected to wassup on our local waters.

Hi Greg Madrigal,

Thanks for the kind words. On the Jerk Its .... our club has invited the inventor/distributor to our club meetings a number of times for a talk and we then would get a little break on their retail price. If anyone likes, I can get his phone number.

I've never ask where he sells them as I didn't use them until recently (my buddy Jim has used them for 3-4 years) and I felt swimbaits were good enough ! Very, very Wrong!

One dis-satisfaction I have with them is that they are a little soft ..... not as bad as the jelly-like AA octopus plastics ..... but pretty easy to scar, split, and cut. Inventer says that's part of the action ! Ya right .... action as in his driving to the bank! ha ha ha Sorry Jerk-It guy ... just had to say it! Actually .... when you learn how to fish it .... the attrition goes waaaaay down.

I received a number of Jerk-It-like baits from our friends at Fish Trap at last year's FH Show in LB and have fished them with limited success....... I suspect I didn't give them enough of a chance ...poor things! Part of the Jerk-Its success is their color (only 2) as it seems to be a big factor in bites. Why ? At times ........ no matter how you work it ... it gets relatively quickly bit by all species of fishys in all seasons....... so them must be biting something they see as forage all the time. No?

thanks again,

JapanRon

PS Thanks for other FNNers replies recent and future.

You guys ought to know how a fisherman thinks... If it works wonderful, if it gets hung-up or untied or chewed up no matter what the price go back and buy several more..........
