Farmed a WAY legal at the rocks at grey light.

Landed one short at high tide.

The water was vodka clear with very little kelp. It was so clear I saw this bugger come from below and hit the bait - with MANY visible chasers, but no takers.

Nice halibut nevertheless! Bummer on the biggie...

"Vodka clear"? Ha ha!!

Well, kinda makes sense since no one these days drinks a proper Gin Martini anymore.

Today was a new spot in the South Bay. The second short was landed on a

$8 lure...gotta love that - went out and purchased four more today.

Let's go hunting!

No kidding, I should listen to my own advice. In my case maybe a football tackle or a Kenpo style move would be more appropriate. I am getting desperate!

Nice work man! I agree about the water being clear. Fished two nights ago and can see everything, even the checkers chasing my bait. Felt like I was at Catalina.

Yep, sure is fun climbing down the wet rocks, slipping and landing on your tail bone with pain so searing that you become nauseous, your ears are ringing and then your arms begin to tingle and go numb. Then the real party favor is getting soaked to the bone.

But, yes it is great to know you are shelling out the $$$ for something that works.
