Okay, since I don't think anyone from today's group is going to take the initiative to write the report...here I am.
(Osiito didn't show up...found out that a flat tire ruined his day...you could have called the landing or one of us...)
From the night before I was requested by a fellow member/angler to school Alan. Actually begged could be a more accurate word. For me, this is a big challenge since we all know Alan's incredible beginner's luck has been whooping butt for the past couple of weeks. BUT, not today...LOL!! If not me, Juan definitely had him educated by then of the day!
Sorry Alan, we took you to school. Your luck has come to an end somewhere!!
So long story short, I had an awesome "Return of the Jedi" and "Empire Strikes Back" fishing day! After a loooong November of business trips, I really needed a day like this of fun, laughter and some butt kickin'!
As always, it was a real pleasure/honor to have fished with: k3vin_kim (Kevin), ymin72 (Mike), Cappo (Juan), One_Leg (Alan), Walter (sorry can't remember your FNN name), and LASmoker (Bob). I love fishing...
4:45am It started with me picking up Alan on my way to Redondo Sportfishing. I was actually on time..amazing.
5:15am We get to the landing to find no one at the ticket office.
5:20am We buy our tickets and drive over to the launch pad. It was too cold for us to get in line and wait. So we waited in my car. And since everyone else was doing the same, we still didn't know who was here and not. I spot Mike and he comes over to my car and we chill (literally).
5:45am Mike gets a phone call from Kevin. "I just woke up...."
5:46am I tell Mike to call Kevin and tell him "He'll make it here by 6:00am. Tell him to haul butt!"
6:00am We load onto the Spitfire and guess who makes it....KEVIN!! YEAH!
6:15am We launch and off to the bait barge.
6:30am We leave the bait barge.
7:30am We arrive a spot#1 for some sculpin fishing.
8:30am We limit out and Capt. announces we're going north! Take a nap people!
--I go to sleep and have nothing to tell you about for a while....
10:30am We arrive at spot#2 up north by Pepperdine for some bass/rockfish hunting.
We stayed around here for the rest of the day. Hit and move, hit and move. Nothing spectacular except for the few batray hookups, a few out-of-season legal-sized ling cods and the usual NBU fun!!
2:30pm We make our last move and it's time to go home. Throughout the day I was having the weirdest fishing experience ever! I had one of each species. It was weird. Every drop, every hook up was a different kind of fish...how is that possible?? And it wasn't even location dependent. We could be on the same spot, I'd fish from the same spot on the rail and a different fish...
So here are the pics!
If Trolly had a Persian brother...this is him!!

Mike's proud JP fish...how does he do it?!?!
http://tsuribaka.us/photos/20071202/DSCN1527_1.jpg
It weighed in at exactly 6lbs!!
At the fillet table, out from one of the fishes insides comes this sea slug. We were all admiring it's absolute ugliness when....
