I got a gracious invite to fish with Tim “Tailchaser” aboard his awesome Davis Rock Harbor boat, along with surf fishing extraordinaire Jason “jscrib”. We fished out of Santa Barbara for an excellent grade of Lingcod and Reds.

Here is a picture of the sun coming up through the smoke of Saturday’s Malibu wildfire. My prayers go out to the families who lost their homes, what a tragic event.

Here I am with my biggest Lingcod of the day that got bitten in half by a 6-7 foot Mako Shark right at the boat. Jason also had one of his Vermilions eaten at the boat by another Mako.
