Nice going. I am going up there for the first time at the end of this month to try and get my first brown. Where did you guys stay? Also would you spend more time fishing pvr or the owens if you could do it again?
Thanks for any advice.

In the short time I was there the lower owens was the better of the two,But now that I've been to both I would spend a day at each and move around. They both require walking. The lower owens we used salmon eggs with 1/4 night crawler on the end of the hook and just enough weight to keep it off the bottom also gulp power worms orange, green worked really well.If you just need a place to sleep then any of the no name motels will do all we got was a place to sleep and tv in room coffee, we stayed at a place called all american hotel it was on short street one block b4 e line turn east and go end of block and it's on the corner we paid $62.00 for one night three people and 2 queen beds.If you want more then stay at best western, motel 8 or any of the other places on 395 at least these places have continental breakfast for free. The mornings are very cold it didn't get warm until 10:30-11:00 and then it started to cool down around 2:30-3:00.We fished from 5 bridges road to warm springs road 2lb test is a must.Good Luck
