Just cannot get enough of a good thing!

Rolled over to Clemente with Mr. EB on my boat and Team T-Bag on the nice new SeaPro.

Decent crossing in the morning and EB struck first, with one of many 7+lb fish today

Not too much love on the harbaits or iron.

#4 & #5 Pearls in a blue and or blue/green smelt seemed to be the ticket

EB followed that one up with many more nice ones throughout the day

...and the hits just kept on coming...

http://www.senortuna.com/pics/data/500/clemente211-1.jpg

Couldn't keep EB's down for long...

Just when things slowed down, Mr Bent breaks out the spinning rod, just classic!!!

Now EB has taught me more about calico fishing than I can remember, yet he still holds up his spinning rod caught fishes just like my 6 year old son

Got our a$$es slapped on the way home, couldn't figure out where Mr NOAA got his "winds 10 knots or less prediction today"...

Total for the day 4 fish between 7-8lbs, too many others to count 5-6+lbs.

GOOD TIMES!!

Thanks!

I have an 18 foot WellCraft Fisherman, center console, with a Yamaha 115hp 4-stroke. The boat carries 49 gallons of fuel and most days I burn around 30 gallons to/from Clemente.

We try to be safe on the days we pick, , checking the inshore/offshore forecast, watching the weather the entire trip and if it starts turning bad, peeling out pretty quick. It is a long way out if something happens. We saw only 2 other boats yesterday and some days on the backside we will not see a single other boat, which is good and bad. Most boats we see are 25-30ft+ and they give us a funny look as we roll by in an 18ft skiff!

Calicos from hell I tell ya. I thought you had a bigger boat. Do you have a 4 stroke cuz I would not make it there and back that's for sure.

Great job out there, nice pics
Big Hammers are sure hard to beat for the price and performance!!

How / where do you find info on offshore weather reports? I'd like to take my 21' Tahoe to Catalina once I get a little more experienced with the GPS.

Thanks guy.

For weather forecasts I start here

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/marine/forecast.htm

Also I check the current radio forecast before I leave the house and then make the final call as we leave the harbor.

...and those are Pearl (brand name) Swimbaits in the photos not Big Hammer. I agree, Big Hammer does make a great swimbait.
