Gary, you been taking too many lessons from TroutOnly. You're supposed to share your tips and tricks with the rest of us.
So what did you use to catch that diving turkey?
Was it live bait, cutbait, or artificials?
What pound test, and how did you rig it?
Dressing on the inside of the bird, or seperate?

Oh and one last thing, when, and where, did you land that feathered beast?

Let me address these 1 by 1:

So what did you use to catch that diving turkey? -Sardine
Was it live bait, cutbait, or artificials? - It was live !
What pound test, and how did you rig it? - 12 lb test -splitshot rig - 9' fiberglass spinning rod
Dressing on the inside of the bird, or seperate? - dressing of coarse inside the beast ! stuffed with the Sardines after they died, along with orange sauce, a dash of worchister, a some emmeril "pow!"All compliments of Marina Del Rey Docks in the harbor- I caught 6 or 8 that day but I'm not sure what the bag limit was so I released the rest of them. Before I cooked 'em, I walked the neiborhood and offered photo packages to all the families with kids as they used to do with a pony...my offer ......$24.95 for a wonderfull memory of your child along with this foul feathered bait snatcher ! two 8 x 10's 3 wallet size, and four 5" x 6's....

Gary: CPR all the pelicans, I'm pretty sure they are protected. :secret: If not they should be.

I've just noticed something. The larger the bird, the bigger the smile. And you are cracking a pretty big grin yourself there too, Gary.

Gary smiles in his bird photos and not in his fish photos....Seems like he enjoys the birds more..
